Puerto Rico 2002 Reunion Overview

    A brave group of intrepid airmen returned to the Island where it all began, 50+ years ago. Preparations were made by Joe Morris who was assisted by Dick Cantrell and Jake Hunter when we took a day journey from San Juan to Ramey with a stop for lunch in Arecibo and a visit to the Cave at Camuy. the caves were there while we were stationed at Ramey but hadn't been found yet.
   While at Ramey we visited the athletic fields, found out that Barracks 11 was now a school, the hospital was in ruins. All in all a sad visit when one remembers what used to be.
    While in San Juan we all boarded a city bus (fare 10 cents) from the hotel to the forts - San Cristobal and El Morro. I personally had never been TDY to the Town Patrol and found the tours very interesting.
   It was while attending this reunion that the Chief declared that I would be in charge of the next reunion and the rest is history.
